TWEEDIE, Merylyn
Show info Hide info

The artist born Merylyn Tweedie has exhibited under numerous different names, including et al., l. budd, Estate of L. Budd, p. mule, and Popular Productions. These represent more than pseudonyms; they are distinct creative personalities. Some of the personalities are considered to be individual artists, some collectives. Exhibiting under her own name, Tweedie worked with drawing, film, photography, video, and installation. She made art out of a bewildering array of found materials, including fire screens, linoleum, pictures from old books, unclaimed snapshots from a photo lab, and wallpaper.
