EVANS, Jane

Jane Evans studied at the University of Canterbury’s Ilam School of Art in 1965 and at Waltham Forest School of Art, London, the following year. During 1966 and 1967, she travelled extensively in Europe and later to the Bahamas. She lived in Australia during 1973. In 1975, she returned to live in Whakatū Nelson, where she remained. The highly coloured, fluid watercolours in which she specialised have been widely exhibited in galleries throughout Aotearoa and also in the United States of America, Hong Kong, and Australia.
