This is a study for one of three murals developed by Russell Clark for the Tourist Hotel Corporation’s Milford Hotel at Piopiotahi Milford Sound. Clark combined motifs from Aotearoa, Australia, and the Moana (Pacific) region with elements of European modernism. The murals do not appear to survive.
