1931 Watercolour on paper 340 x 505mm (image); 575 x 735mm (frame)
Inscriptions: D. K. Richmond. 1931. [l.l.]
Dorothy Kate Richmond was the daughter of James Crowe Richmond, and a friend and possible lover of Frances Hodgkins. Like her father, she mostly produced watercolours with landscape themes. Her style was more adventurous than his but decidedly less so than that of Hodgkins.
