This is one of only four coloured works produced at the end of 1975 at the same time as Thornley was working on his Albus series. Like them it is full of atmosphere. Here the artist has worked darker linear sections into the predominant orange background to give a sense of contrast. The painting is unusual in that it is surrounded on all sides by a dark structural band which emphasises of the rectangular composition.
